Scarf, woven with hand-dyed 30/2 bombyx silk.
The body is a broken twill weave structure with
doubleweave twill tubular selvedges. It is finished
with hemstitching and twisted, knotted fringe.
A photographic detail was used as the starting
point for the design. The flow of the design and
colors radiating from dark and somber to bright
and bold suggests movement. Is it the turn of one
season to the next,a dark mood to a glad one,
one life phase to another? Interpretation is left
to the wearer, wrapped in the assurance that
change and its process are good.
